For more than 33 years, Kami Alaniz has worked as a Registered Nurse, combining decades of healthcare experience with NLP, personal transformation, faith, and the lessons of her own life.
Her nursing career includes more than 17 years specializing in Discharge Planning and Utilization Review, along with extensive experience in Traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, case management, home health, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, admission status, and helping patients and families navigate complicated healthcare decisions.
But the work Kami does today wasn't created from professional experience alone.
It was created from life.
FROM LIFE EXPERIENCE TO PURPOSE
Kami knows what it feels like when the life you planned suddenly becomes a life you never expected.
Her journey has included loss, betrayal, divorce, single motherhood, serious illness, grief, tremendous work stress, difficult relationships, and starting over.
There were seasons of surviving.
There were seasons of resetting.
And there were seasons of having to rediscover who she was and decide what she wanted the rest of her life to become.
After personally experiencing the impact of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Kami became a Certified NLP Practitioner and began bringing together what she had learned through healthcare, NLP, lived experience, and faith.
Through it all was a calling God had placed on her life years earlier:
“Help People Like You.”
That calling eventually became Helping People Like Me Ministry and the heart behind the work Kami creates through Just Brooke.
